Original owl painting
I can not move my eyes, but I can move my neck almost 360 degrees. Still there is no prey in sight. The landscape below is foreign to me now. Strange objects encroach on the land. It seems I was only in the air for a few minutes, but once in flight, I looked down. It was almost unrecognizable. There are hardly any trees for me to perch. Surely there is somewhere for me to call home. I will keep flying.
This mixed media series incorporates oil, acrylic and 23 karat gold leaf. Framed, signed and ready to hang.
